ANANT SINGH CONGRATULATES CHAD LE CLOS

Newly elected International Olympic Committee Member, Anant Singh was in attendance at the Men’s 100m Butterfly finals at the Rio 2016 Olympics yesterday.

Speaking from Rio de Janeiro, Singh said, “It was really exciting to be at the 100m Butterfly finals. I am very proud of Chad Le Clos’s accomplishments, and him achieving his second silver medal in a thrilling triple dead heat. Chad is an exceptionally talented swimmer, and I extend my congratulations to him for the two silver medals he achieved at the Olympics during a very trying time in his life. It was also a privilege to witness Chad going down in the record books as the highest South African medal earner in history, since South Africa first competed in the Olympic Games 112 years ago at the St Louis, USA Games in 1904. My congratulations also goes out to the Team South Africa medal winners in the Rowing and Rugby Sevens teams.”
