It is with great sadness that I learnt of the death of Amina Cachalia.
Amina was a beacon in the liberation movement, a committed activist and an exceptional South African. She and her husband, Yusuf were key individuals in the movement and they also shared a close bond with Madiba and forged a friendship that endured over time.
My deepest condolences go to her family and friends. We will miss her.
