Leon Schuster’s “Mr Bones 2” Has Worldwide Exclusive on You Tube

The release trailer of the much-anticipated Leon Schuster starrer, Mr Bones 2: Back From The Past, will premiere at 5.00pm today on You Tube prior to it being screened at cinemas in 10 days time. Mr Bones 2: Back From The Past is the follow-up to the most successful South African film of all-time, Mr Bones which grossed R33 million at the South African boxoffice. The trailer can be accessed on You Tube.

Mr. Bones 2: Back From The Past, is the story of Hekule, the King of Kuvukiland who is given a gemstone by the dying Kunji Balanadin. The stone is cursed and causes Hekule to become possessed by the spirit of the mischievous Kunji. It is up Mr. Bones (played by Leon Schuster), the royal witch doctor to cure his King and get rid of this cursed stone by returning the gem to its home in an Indian fishing village. The film, produced by Anant Singh and Helena Spring, stars Leeanda Reddy (Isidingo), Tongayi Chirisa, Kaseran Pillay (Going Nowhere Slowly), Meren Reddy, Keith Gengadoo and Schuster’s comic partner, Alfred Ntombela. The film was shot on location in Durban.

Commenting on the You Tube premiere of the trailer, Leon Schuster commented, “I am thrilled that we have technology today that allows instantaneous communication with my fans. People have been asking me about the film and when they would be able to see the trailer in cinemas, but now they can watch the trailer on their computers – anywhere in the world.”

Producer Anant Singh said, “The fan base of Mr Bones is quite diverse and we thought that this was the best way to give fans exclusive access to the trailer online before it is shown at cinemas from 17 October. Strengthening the online presence of the film is the official website and a Facebook Fan Page for Mr. Bones 2: Back From The Past. The film is really funny and audiences are in for a treat when the film is released on 27 November across South Africa.”

Mr. Bones 2: Back From The Past will be released across South Africa on Thursday, 27 November 2008 by Videovision Entertainment through United International Pictures.
