Videovision Produces Presentation for Durban’s Bid to Host International Olympic Committee Session

Anant Singh’s Videovision Entertainment produced the video presentation which was part of Durban’s successful bid to host the 123rd International Olympic Committee Session in 2011. Durban successfully competed against Hong Kong which was also shortlisted to host the event. The 123rd International Olympic Committee Session will be a 3 day congress where the host city of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games will be decided.

The video presentation produced by Videovision Entertainment highlighted Durban’s unique attributes as South Africa’s events capital with the most advanced convention centre in Africa, the city’s ability to host high profile international events like the Preliminary Draw of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, the Non-Aligned Movement, the International AIDS Conference and a host of other major international events. The presentation also highlighted Durban as the gateway to the natural splendours and the World Heritage sites of KwaZulu Natal.

Commenting on the successful bid, Anant Singh said, “We are thrilled to have produced the video presentation for Durban’s winning bid and to have done so with a fully Durban based team. Our city (Durban) has a great deal to offer and this is the message we needed to get across. The IOC has acknowledged Durban’s ability to host the 123rd Session and we hope that this will also influence the possibility of Durban hosting the Olympic Games sometime soon.”

The video presentation was produced by Anant Singh with acclaimed director, Junaid Ahmed at the helm. It was edited by Andrew Cassells with additional editing by Sigeshan Reddy.
