Kiss of the Spider Woman

Valentín, a political prisoner, shares a cell with Molina, a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite silver screen diva, Ingrid Luna.

Argentina, 1983. With the country’s military dictatorship waging a brutal war against its political opponents, prisoners Valentín and Molina find themselves thrown together in a cramped cell.

Initially at odds, they begin to bond as Molina narrates the story of his favorite movie, “Kiss of the Spider Woman.

” A colorful fantasia of song and dance starring screen siren Ingrid Luna, the film follows a woman attempting to outrun a mythical predator who kills with her kiss. Jointly visualizing the dazzling Technicolor adventure, the men escape the indignities of confinement, and their shared experience leads them toward hope, grace and connection.
