Sarafina!

SALUTING THE YOUTH OF 1976 FIFTY YEARS LATER.

In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the “Soweto Uprising”, Anant Singh and Videovision Entertainment will be releasing the digitally remastered version of SARAFINA!  on 5 June to honour the brave young people who took to the streets on 16 June 1976 to protest against the apartheid regime.  SARAFINA!  will be released exclusively at selected Ster Kinekor cinemas across the country.

16 June 1976 was a pivotal moment in the anti-apartheid struggle where the youth of Soweto became agents of change by accelerating the struggle.  It was their courage that inspired the creation of SARAFINA!
